It’s easy to become disillusioned once we get comfortable in our daily routines and then get so lazy or complacent about it that we find it hard to rise above the mundane. Stop settling and restore your vitality to come back to life. What would it be like to feel “alive and well” again?
We’ve been conditioned to prioritize productivity and performance over our health and well-being, but that’s not how it should be. Our natural state is one of health and vitality. So, what can we do to rediscover our passion and energy? How can we rejuvenate our minds, bodies, and spirits?
Don’t Get Trapped
Have you ever felt that you wanted to leave a situation but felt there was something that kept hooking you back in?
One definite “trap” I see people fall into and that I myself have tackled with is “wait and see”. This forces us to stay in situations way longer than we should, and to the detriment of our health and well-being. Often, it’s only once our health and well-being has deteriorated, that we finally start making the necessary changes.
You can choose a more fulfilling path with intention, integrity, and impeccability. You can choose to honour your sacred path by living as your soul intended. When you choose this, your life will expand in ways you would have never expected. It will open you up to more abundance, prosperity, and joy than you ever imagined!
Awaken Your Zest for Life

Today is a good day to LIVE! What if you had 24hrs to do absolutely anything you wanted? What would you choose to do? Make a list and be sure to include activities that replenish you rather than ones that make you “zone out.”
Zoning out makes you unconscious again, leaks energy and further drains your vitality. Attention needs to be drawn IN, not out!
By tapping into the rhythm and flow of what truly resonates with you, you awaken into a more fulfilling and conscious way of living.
It’s important to incorporate daily habits and practices that support your personal growth. Don’t let the daily grind wear you down.
Getting Unstuck
Often, when we feel stuck, overwhelmed, and exhausted, we push ourselves to keep going because we crave approval and validation to maintain our self-esteem and sense of safety. However, if you shift your focus to soul care, you can tap into your innate rhythms and reconnect with your core essence. Your soul is where you can uncover the sacredness of life. By accessing that deeper understanding, you get to experience a renewed sense of peace, clarity, and purpose in your life.
Maslow described self-actualization as realizing personal potential, self-fulfillment, seeking personal growth, and peak experiences. The goal here is to be happy and fulfilled. If you are seeking deeper satisfaction in your life, it’s time to start integrating a higher consciousness model of living.
The fact that we are spiritual beings affirms we can do anything, and the fact that we are having a human experience reminds us we can’t do everything. There are limitations in body, mind, and emotions that must be replenished and restored every now and then.
By not honouring my needs, pushing myself too hard, saying yes out of fear, obligation or guilt, buying into feelings of unworthiness, and not following through on promises I made to myself, I ended up giving way too much of myself and felt depleted and drained of all energy. It was akin to a slow death. Can you relate?
Time for Some Soul Care
With soul care the soul leads. Soul care gives you an opportunity to access your intuition. This is your innate wisdom helping you discern, rather than following the voice of tradition, authority or the majority. Come back to life by take responsibility for having your needs met, rather than expecting someone else to fulfill them.
Engaging in soul care gives you the courage to respond without defenses and with authenticity and integrity.
Here are some suggestions for prioritizing your soul’s needs:
- Surround yourself with people who encourage you to pursue your heart’s desires and stay clear of those who try to dim your light.
- Spend time in nature to realign with your body’s natural rhythms and restore a sense of balance and harmony.
- Create space in your life for your energy and creativity to flow, and inspiration to enter.
- Open yourself to new possibilities and greater future potentialities.
- Start paying attention to what you are doing when you feel expansive energy and do more of that! This raises your joy vibe.
- Release anything that is holding you back. This includes self-limiting beliefs.
- Establish new boundaries and make conscious choices about who and what you invite into your life to protect your energy.
- Next time you go outside open your senses and notice what you see or smell. Can you find something beautiful or wondrous?
A final reminder from Persian poet Hafiz, “We have come into this exquisite world to experience ever and ever more deeply our Divine courage, freedom and light”. Be willing to experience something more and watch your whole world open up!
